Cool Hand Craig

What we don't have here is a failure to communicate. In fact John and Craig step up to the mic and communicate their opinions quite well this week. After taking the time to retort to comments from some loyal listeners, and one host writing a a blog that the other disagrees with, they have a healthy debate which turns into a discussion of great character intros in modern cinema. Craig seems to gravitate to characters that he relates with more, and John gravitates toward characters he relates to more.
The hosts throw some questions out to the listeners, check out some things, and give their usual commentary. Also, Craig and John add something to their list of “Ways Words With Nerds Hosts Won't Die”

Chapters

  • 00:00 Nuptials
  • 01:59 That Sound You Hear Is the Microphone
  • 03:34 John Joins The Revolution
  • 12:00 A Great Introduction
  • 32:23 A Question For The Listeners
  • 39:17 A Bad Introduction
  • 46:31 What We Checked Out
  • 1:01:48 This Won't Kills Us

The Men with the Golden Podcast

September 3, 2015
00:0000:00

Love is required whenever they're hired! The Retro-SPECTRE-ive is back with special guest @yayshawndorman as he helps @craigsorrell and @kesseljunkie navigate the insane maze that is "The Man with the Golden Gun." Along the way they

  • Address Idris Elba's Street-Ness;
  • Pay tribute to Christopher Lee;
  • Wax poetic about Southern sheriffs in Asian territories;
  • Discuss some things they've seen, and want to watch; and review some great things.
AnD John's not likely going to make many friends in the Star Wars fan arena with his take on #ForceFriday and the "Global Unboxing Event." Enjoy!

Do They Know It’s Vishnu?

We kick off the Christmas Season in true Words With Nerds style by fighting old-school about the worst Christmas music ever released.

  • At one point, John panders to you, our wonderful audience.
  • Your heroes give pretentious rockers a geography lesson for Christmas.
  • They wonder if Bono has finally become self-aware.
  • They field a couple of calls.
  • They try to decipher Bob Dylan's Christmas Album.
And there's a lot more, but like any good present, it's best if we leave something as a surprise.

With a show this good, you can skip asking for anything from Santa!
